A Training Set-up for Novice Batters

This project focuses on improving the perception of the batting performances for novice cricketers in terms of batting training. Specifically, this enhanced version of a cricket bat can notify the bat's impact location, orientation, and movement to the batsman via sonification and visual cues. The multi-layer sensing sticker applied on the blade area of the cricket bat can sense the impact location. Meanwhile, the embedded inertial measurement unit captures the orientation aspects of the bat. All the data are processed in realtime, and the central unit provides feedback to the user according to the performed batting strokes using headphones and visual cues.
